Tuesday 12 September 2023

The Royal College of Music (HÂþ») is delighted to announce a new global partnership with the industry-leading online platform Forte to offer lessons with HÂþ» teachers to students in the Inspired Schools group.

Forte uses high-definition audio, a suite of innovative features including dual camera angles and interactive live shared notebooks, giving students of all skill levels global access to some of the world’s best music teachers. Using the platform, teachers verified by the Royal College of Music will be able to offer lessons to students in the Inspired Schools group, a private school system with students across the world, expanding the international reach of the HÂþ»’s exceptional teachers and network.

Forte teachers from the HÂþ» are members of the HÂþ» faculties, Junior Department teachers, HÂþ» alumni, or students who are currently enrolled in the HÂþ»’s undergraduate, masters, or doctorate level programmes and are among the most promising young musicians in the world.

Kevin Porter, Acting Director of the Royal College of Music, comments: “The Royal College of Music is delighted to work with Inspired Schools to bring a love of the art and craft of music to its students. As one of the world's greatest conservatoires, we look forward to welcoming Inspired students to the HÂþ»’s extended community. I have been struck throughout the development of this innovative platform by the passion for excellence demonstrated by Forte. It is this reason, above others, that makes Forte a natural partner for HÂþ».”

Mark Murtagh, co-founder and CEO of Forte, commented: “The Royal College of Music is the world’s no 1 top-rated performing arts conservatory. This partnership will provide Inspired students unprecedented access to the educational and artistic excellence that the HÂþ» represents. Using Forte’s industry-leading music learning platform, students can take private lessons from an HÂþ» teacher who is a great fit for their skill level, goals, and musical interests. We are honoured to be working with the HÂþ» and Inspired to nurture musical excellence on a global scale. We can’t wait to hear the music these Inspired students make.”
