Outgoing exchanges
We have a large number of exchanges available with leading European, American, Japanese, South Korean and Australian music conservatories and universities. These exchanges provide an excellent opportunity to study abroad at other world-leading institutions as part of your HÂþ» studies.
Many students who take advantage of such opportunities make connections that enable them to work overseas when they graduate from the HÂþ», often launching international careers.
‘My teacher, a member of the New York Philharmonic trumpet section, was really encouraging and inspiring.’
‘I can strongly recommend it to anyone who is interested in gaining a wide variety of experience.’
‘I got to know a new city and make new friends. Also changing teachers and learning different views and techniques gave me a different perspective to my playing. Everyone should try it!’
Outgoing exchanges are normally for a period of one term during the Autumn term.
Erasmus+
Although the UK Government has decided that, following the UK's withdrawal from the EU, we will no longer participate in the European exchange programme, Erasmus+, we are delighted that our European partners are happy to continue our long-standing collaboration and continue to offer exchanges between our institutions.
