About H Sparks

Child playing flute at a Sparks Ignite event
H Sparks is the Royal College of Music's learning and participation programme, designed to engage children in schools and the local community where support is needed most.

We deliver a varied, engaging programme in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and the City of Westminster, as well as running a series of public events at the Royal College of Music. We work strategically to actively recruit participants underrepresented in higher education and those who may face barriers to engaging.

Over the past year, the programme has given more than 2,700 children and young people a live music experience and has provided 155 H students and graduates with practical training experience and work placements.
