Visiting the HÂþ»

Disabled parking bays

There are a limited number of disabled parking bays managed by Westminster Borough Council on Prince Consort Road and in the area around the Royal Albert Hall, which are within 175 metres of the HÂþ». In addition, there are spaces managed by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on Exhibition Road, which are within 600 metres of the HÂþ».

Getting around

Most areas of the main Blomfield Building are accessible by wheelchair users. Disabled toilet facilities are available on the ground and second floors.

Guide and companion dogs

Guide and companion dogs are welcome at the HÂþ». If you are attending an event with your guide or companion dog, please let us know when you are booking tickets so that we can offer appropriate seating where your dog can remain with you during the performance.

There is a water bowl for assistance dogs at the main reception. Hyde park is also close by.

Emergency evacuation

Disabled refuge areas are situated in strategic locations throughout the HÂþ». In the event of an evacuation there is a dedicated marshal to check the refuges and take appropriate action to ensure people are taken safely from the building.

Events

The HÂþ» has the facility to accommodate wheelchair users and visitors with guide and companion dogs in our main events venues: the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall and the Britten Theatre. Events held in other venues are often accessible too. Our Box Office staff will be able to advise you at the time of booking.

If you wish to book one of our dedicated wheelchair spaces in our venues, you can either book online or book by contacting the Box Office by phone or email. To book a wheelchair space online please first make sure your accessibility information is up to date in the Other Preferences section of your HÂþ» online account. Further information relating to accessibility can be found elsewhere on this page.

To request alternative format publicity for upcoming events, including large-print programmes, please contact the Box Office.
