HÂþ»JD Friends Committee

The Friends Committee is an exceptional group of parents, staff and non-parent Friends. They administrate the HÂþ»JD Friends as well as undertaking fundraising, and providing social support on Saturdays.

The Friends are constantly exploring new ways in which to achieve their stated aim to 'provide for the charitable purposes' of the Junior Department, 'so as to advance the education of young persons in the art and science of music'.

Current activities include:

  • Music ordering Service – a facility for students and parents to order sheet music and have it delivered to the HÂþ» to collect on a Saturday.
  • Saturday Shop selling HÂþ»JD merchandise as well as pencils, manuscript paper, music folders and other useful items.
  • An annual social evening and concert featuring performances from JD students and teachers, with refreshments.
  • Provision of refreshments at selected events throughout the year including competitions, concerts, and introductory day.
  • Tours of the HÂþ»JD for prospective students and parents.
  • Organisation of fund-raising events.

If you are an HÂþ»JD Friend and would like to join the Friends Committee, please contact the committee.
